A New Classification of Planar Homogeneous Quadratic Systems

Using Invariant Theory, we give a new classification of the planar homogeneous quadratic systems with respect to the general linear group. This classification involves less canonical forms than those known before. It takes into account some algebraic properties like the existence of the common factor of the right hand. Thereby, it is more adapted to the phase portraits described in \cite{sib2}. The computations are made with Maple.
